Restoring landscapes, building livelihoods

Greening Earth foundation launched its first project known as Greening Earth One (GE1) on December 2021 based in Mseko village. One year later after a successful start and adoption of the first project as it was planned, on November 2022 the organization launched the second project known as Greening Earth project two (GE2) based in Mgongo and Kizonzo Villages. Therefore, projects are based in the Mseko village, Kizonzo village and Mgongo village. Mseko village is in the Western part of the Singida region, alongside the boarder of Singida and Tabora Regions. On the highway from Dar Es Salaam to Mwanza road, at the bottom of the rift valley. Our projects are funded and supported by the Dutch investor STICHTING WEES EEN KAN.

Mseko Village, Iramba District December 2021

Mseko village is located in the semi-arid area that is affected by devastating climate change and severe food insecurity. Greening Earth foundation (INGO) observed the situation in Mseko village with consternation. In December 2021 it established a project to create awareness among community members on ecological restoration and sustainable use of natural resources for the future generation.

Kizonzo and Mgongo Villages, Iramba District November 2022

Building on the success of GE1, the Greening Earth Foundation launched its second initiative (GE 2) in November 2022 in two communities of the Mgongo ward - Kizonzo and Mgongo villages in Iramba District. The project currently reaches 1,121 households: 623 in Mgongo and 498 in Kizonzo, continuing the foundation's mission of ecological restoration and sustainable livelihoods.
